Laura Lupton is the founder of LHL Consulting, a firm consulting on projects that center culture, climate, and our collective future.
With over a decade of experience working directly with some of contemporary art’s leading artist studios, non-profit institutions, museums, and galleries to produce large scale projects, Laura has inside knowledge of what it takes to catalyze action. Believing that art is a climate solution, her work focuses on engagement, people-led action, and resilience as core to climate strategy.
She developed a first of its kind Climate Impact Program for Getty as part of the landmark PST Art series across Southern California; launched the first exhibitor booth Climate Impact Reporting initiative for an art fair at ADAA’s The Art Show; founded the artist- and worker-led art and climate initiatives Artists Commit and Galleries Commit; and has completed climate impact strategy work with clients like MOCA, Hauser & Wirth, and the Pulitzer Arts Foundation.
Laura was formerly the Director of Special Projects at Gladstone Gallery, the Director of Artist Relations & Projects at Andrea Rosen Gallery, and the Exhibition and Production Manager at Creative Time. She has worked on groundbreaking projects with artists and institutions like Wangechi Mutu at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Anika Yi at Tate Modern, Ian Cheng at Luma, Philippe Parreno at MoMA, Paul Chan at the Schaulager, Kara Walker at Domino Sugar Factory, and Matthew Barney, among others. She is a co-founder of several collaborative ventures at the intersection of art and climate: Galleries Commit, Artists Commit, Barder, and the Visual Arts PACT and is on the Founding Committee of the Gallery Climate Coalition New York chapter. She holds a degree in History and Critical Theory from Wesleyan University and is earning a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation at Harvard ES.
